Safer At Home: Gratitude & Reflection From Christa Huneycutt

Staff | 16 July, 2020

Earlier this month, we celebrated our independence, we celebrated our freedom. Due to restrictions put in place to help slow the spread of COVID-19 many old fashioned Fourth of July celebrations were canceled. However, we hope it didn’t stop you all from finding new ways to safely celebrate life, liberty, and everything else we have to be thankful for. We are truly the home of the free because of the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.

Since we’re on the topic of freedom, North Carolina has been slowly opening up with a 3-phased approach. We’re currently in phase 2, which is scheduled to last until July 17th. Our State’s mission has always been to stay ahead of the curve. To learn more about Safer at Home: About Phase 2, click here. We’d like to acknowledge and express our deepest gratitude to all the work our healthcare, first responders and essential heroes have been putting in over the past few months. You are our friends, our family, and our community. We continue to pray for your safety as you serve on the frontlines and we will do our best to support you in the ways that we can.

A few of our team members are married to individuals who are in the healthcare profession or are deemed essential workers so we are aware of all the sacrifices they are making to care for our community while safeguarding the health of themselves and their families.

Christa Huneycutt - Finance Controller and 3rd generation leader here at Eudy’s Cabinets has shared a brief reflection on how she has allowed herself to enjoy the simple joys and positives during this time. “I’ve been able to really slow down and enjoy spending time with my kids. It’s a lot more relaxing when you get home in the evenings. There aren’t any extracurricular activities to run off to like practice or ball games.”

This is a really difficult time for a lot of people and there is a lot of readjusting to do. The light at the end of the tunnel can seem pretty dim if we only focus on the negatives. We hope to remind you that we are going to make it through this. Focus on what’s in front of you - God, Family, and your peers. Stay healthy and stay safe!
