FAQs
How Do I Care For My Cabinets?
- Dust cabinets periodically with a soft lint free cloth
- For a deeper clean, use a clean soft cloth dampened with warm water. If necessary, use a mild solution of dishwashing liquid and clean warm water. After cleaning wipe cabinets down with a clean damp cloth to remove dishwashing liquid residue and then dry with a clean soft cloth.
- Wipe up splatters and spills as quickly as possible. Prolonged exposure to grease, food and liquids can cause permanent discoloration to the finish of your cabinets
- Avoid using sponges or dishcloths to clean your cabinets as they may can particles that could scratch the finish. They may also contain remnants of grease or harsh cleaning products.
- Avoid harsh chemicals on your cabinets such as detergents, multi-purpose abrasive cleaning products, products containing bleach, and silicone based cleaning products.
- Cabinets do not need to be polished or waxed. This can cause a buildup over time that may cause cabinets to have a hazy or streaked appearance.
- Beware of excess moisture, especially around the sink, range, dishwasher, oven and baseboard areas which are most susceptible. Immediately dry surfaces where water may have spilled using a clean cloth.
- Never hang damp towels over cabinetry to dry. This could cause the wood to expand and damage the finish.
