Custom Built Cabinetry Crafted in North Carolina since 1963

Making our Cabinets

Made by hand, from hardwoods from around the country, right in the heart of North Carolina. Generations of woodcrafters come from this area, and three generations of Eudy's have been in the business of building custom cabinets since 1963.

From humble beginnings in a building behind founder Ernest Eudy's house, to our current cabinet manufacturing and showroom space of over 300,000 square feet, you can count on our dedication to customer satisfaction and the workmanship in our products.

Let us take you on a tour of how your custom cabinetry will be made:

Door Department

We start with select, top-grade, lumber. Your made-to-order custom cabinetry begins in the Door Room, where your doors are milled to your style selection and specifications.

It is in this area that mantles, wine racks, and bell hoods are built by hand by skilled craftsmen. We also have CNC routers with CAD based software to take advantage of the technology that is available to us today.

Saw Room

The next step in the process of building your cabinetry takes place in the saw room. Here, using state of the art panel saws and CNC point to point drills, the interior parts of the cabinets, such as your cabinet shelving, sides, backs and bottoms are cut out and machined.

Build Department

Your custom cabinets are then wheeled on large handcarts to the Build Department for the final touches. Here they are assembled by hand one at a time by our experienced and highly skilled cabinet builders using solid wood face frames and some of the same building techniques that Ernest Eudy began developing nearly 50 years ago.

They carefully complete the building out of your cabinets, finely sanding the wood, building the drawers to your specifications, finally staging the set for a thorough quality check.

Stain Shop

Your custom cabinet elements are then placed on our finishing line, for the trip to and through the Stain Shop. Each piece of cabinetry is stained or painted to your choice of finish, prepared especially for your order by our finishing technicians.

After painting or staining, your cabinets are set up and checked one more time before being prepared for shipment and installation in your home.

"We consistently receive raves on your design and craftsmanship. Please pass this along to the entire crew. I'm sure there were many behind-the-scenes people involved that made this a success."
